Maximum capacity for our 23ft racer/cruiser is 4 adults, or 2 adults and 3 children.

We provide
sailing coats, lifejackets, water tight containers and dry bags for personal gear

Customers Need
spare clothing, sun screen, hat and sun glasses, soft soled, closed toe footwear (no sandals please)

About Sail Mahone Bay

We offer a unique opportunity to sail, under instruction, one of the finest yachting areas in Eastern North America. Clients can chose the itinerary from basic learn to sail, improving your current skills, landing on an island, or sailing the open waters beyond the inner islands, the choice is yours.

Basic Cruising Standard is five days, or 40 hours. The aim is to learn the safe handling of a 20-30 ft in light to moderate winds. $495/person (based on two people)

Other Information
Clients take an active part in sailing. Limited space and times available. Clients must be able to transfer from a tender to the sailboat.

Michael Ernst (Sailing instructor/Owner)

A sailor and teacher, Michael Ernst has spent much of his life on the water. Mike first sailed the waters of Mahone Bay as a boy. After nearly three decades teaching outdoor education in the U.K. and Australia, he returned in 1994. Mike is a certified CYA instructor and holds Bachelor and Master’s degrees in education.
